In my opinion, it’s
important that companies start implementing social media tools as a part of their
internal communication. Even though it’s a difficult process in which the
company needs to establish certain rules on how will function, it’s an
important step to an open and freely communication between the co-workers and
the company.
Many studies demonstrated
that the proper use of social media in the workplace may increase productivity
on the workers, so taking this into account the company should research all the
possible social networks existent and decide which of those are important and necessary
for internal purposes. Once this decision is made, the company should proceed on
installation and then continuously analyze through feedback on its effectiveness.
If the company doesn’t
have an internal communication through the social media, it probably isn’t
making presence in anyone, and this is a big alert. Nowadays many companies are
using the social media as their first channel to communicate with clients,
because it allows, instead of the traditional media, feedback from the
audience. And in many cases companies use their Facebook fan page, or Twitter
accounts like focus groups so they can know and obtain a lot of information
regarding their products through the fans opinions. So, if your company isn’t
taking on account Social Media like a powerful tool for internal and external
communication, it’s time to.
