Nowadays Companies that don’t use
social media are behind the competition, and our company isn’t the exception. Technology
is developing and giving us new tools every day, to make the difference it's necessary
to take advantage of it. I agree with the most of my peers in that our company
should get in to social media. This could approach us to our customers, give
us cheaper or free advertisements on the web or even bring us new customers.
However if the company wants to take this step it’s necessary to set some rules
to control the time of internet usage, to avoid the waste of time during
working hours. It’s also important to state the way of how employees are going to be able
to talk with customers, it's essential to be politically correct with them in
order to avoid any misunderstanding or offence. Finally other thing that can be
done is to hire a social media administrator (what some companies nowadays do)
and leave this subject to a professional. Our company may need some changes, but
I think we should get in to social media mainly because we are not using the
tools that modern times are giving us.
